"The Lord's Prayer is often hard for little children to understand, but now the smallest Sunday School scholars will find it full of meaning. For in this book they are given just one phrase at a time which is explained and expanded in easily memorized verses. And the illustrations, appealingly composed in two colors, show children in familiar situations ranging from the little group around a tea table repeating "give us this day our daily bread: to the little girl who looks so ready to "forgive the trespasses" of a little boy who has broken her doll. Once again Joan Gale Thomas proves her rare gift for creating a mood of reverence in small children." - from the inner front jacket flap.
