A youthful Crowe, then 22, went back to high school and made this report. Crowe also wrote the screenplay for the popular and funny movie directed by Amy Heckerling, the film debut of Nicolas Cage, Eric Stoltz, Forest Whitaker, and Anthony Edwards. First book by the Academy Award-winning writer and director of such films as *Jerry McGuire* and *Almost Famous*.

Crowe's screenplay was used by Amy Heckerling in her directorial debut that starred a who's who of future stars like Sean Penn, Phoebe Cates, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Nicholas Cage, Anthony Edwards, and others. A tight close to near fine copy in paper covered boards with a cloth spine with some tiny staining to the edge of the pages and in a near fine dust jacket with some very minor wear. A pleasing copy of this fairly uncommon book.

Gorgeous unclipped dust-jacket, ($14.95), has two miniscule, barely noticeable, nicks at the crown but is fresh and bright with no creases, toning or tears. Made into the iconic 1982 film of the same name starring Sean Penn, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Phoebe Cates and directed by Amy Heckerling A very sharp collectable copy at a great price.

A very attractive copy. Minor wear to the boards' edges; jacket has a tiny discolored spot on its front panel.

In unclipped dust jacket with light crimping, surface indentations and edge wear. As a free-lance writer for Rolling Stone Magazine, Crowe went under cover at a San Diego high school to research this book, which would later be adapted into a movie starring Sean Penn and Jennifer Jason Leigh.

There are a few very small smudges along edge of DJ rear. I have not tried to remove them because they are fairly minor however they look like they may be able to be removed with a little care. Most minor toning along blue cloth edge. Again, barely noticeable. Page 104 & 105 have the slightest wrinkle at top of page. On side page deck, there are 2 faint, small translucent marks to edges where the page edge may have been scratched. Once again, barely noticeable. These flaws are over-stated. This is a very nice, attractive, well-cared for copy. Signed by Author(s).
